At our cosmetic surgery clinic in Sarasota, we always provide our patients with the opportunity to ask as many questions as they need to during their consultation with us. With that being said, we understand that most people remain uncertain about what happens during a facelift consultation<\/a>, so we’d like to give you a quick guide on what to expect.<\/p>\n

Medical History<\/span><\/h1>\n

Be prepared to discuss your personal health in some detail, including any medication you’re taking, any existing medical conditions you’re managing, and if you’ve had cosmetic surgery before.<\/p>\n

You may also be asked about any vitamin or mineral supplements you’re currently taking or any alternative medicines you’re using. You will be asked questions about your particular lifestyle choices, including smoking, drinking and drug use.<\/p>\n

A skilled surgeon looks at your overall health as a key part of evaluating your suitability for a facelift, and will then base their final decision on this and other factors.<\/p>\n

Examination<\/span><\/h1>\n

Before a surgeon begins the process of creating a more youthful “you”, they first need to examine your current facial structure, identify areas of concern and discuss what areas you’d like to improve. This includes the surgeon taking measurements and photographs of your face, so they can build a complete picture of what you currently look like and what you\u2019d like to look like after the procedure is complete.<\/p>\n

You should expect your surgeon to spend a significant amount of time examining you, ensuring that you\u2019re both in agreement as to what the next steps for you should be.<\/p>\n

Expectations<\/span><\/h1>\n

Once the examination is complete it\u2019s then time to discuss your facelift options with you, which will include any potential risks for you, the type of anesthetic that will be used, and what you can expect during the recovery process. An ethical surgeon will only perform facial enhancements on patients who are suitable for this type of procedure.<\/p>\n
