Buccal fat removal<\/a> is one of the most hyped plastic surgery procedures in the last couple of years. It involves removing some or all of the buccal fat pad in the cheeks. This can help slim the face and define the cheekbones. While primarily used in the past for aging patients or those who kept childlike round faces well into their twenties, it is now more widely performed. So, how long does buccal fat removal last?<\/span><\/p>\n

Buccal fat removal is technically a permanent procedure. Once fat cells are removed from the body, it cannot come back. That does mean that the remaining fat cannot descend or expand.
